Next up is Carl and Ellie from Pixar's Up. Now the reason why I like this couple...that is surprisingly difficult for me to sum up in words. These two characters are very likeable, and its interesting to see how they start off. You rarely see a love develop at an early age and actually continue all throughout those people's lives. I think what I like about this couple the most, now that I kinda of think about it, is that its a couple and their lives together. There are no stakes or danger or anything supernatural. Its just life. Life is interesting, and when you find something or someone in your life that makes it an adventure, life becomes all the more sweeter. With that being said, the scene with Carl and Ellie doesn't last that long and I think we can all relate to that feeling where life just came and went too quickly. You don't see these two together for very long and yet you immediately start to bond with the characters. Maybe its because you think the couple's cute. Or maybe you've known a couple like Carl and Ellie.
With that being said, even though these two have a strong relationship, it is not without its faults. Bad things do indeed happen and when the bad things do happen to these two, its heartbreaking. I still can't sit through the opening sequence without bawling my eyes out.
